Xbox One Not Signed In on old 360 games

Ive just started having an issue when i tried to play TWO games from the game pass store, it asks me to sign in with my Xbox profile (saying im signed out at the bottom - when iam sign in on the console) - it gives me the option to download my profile which I tried on the second game and it went through BUT said all saving is disabled ..AS YOUR NOT SIGNED IN...

I have an Xbox One X with a 1TB SSD on the external with a SATA-to-USB3.0 coverter cable where all my games are stored

can anyone shed any light on this please?

The main reason you would not be signed in on Xbox 360 games is because you have changed your gamertag prior to upgrading to the newer console. You will have to add an account at the Xbox 360 home screen and enter your email and pass. It worked for me, and it may do the same for you.
