Xbox 360 Playing Your Games In Surround Sound

Do any of you have your Xbox 360 console hooked up to a stereo system? Are any of you playing your games in surround sound? We've been thinking about buying a really nice, powerful stereo to put in our living room and I wonder if we can run any of the consoles through it.
