Before the design of the PS4 controller was finalized, Sony tested many controllers designed to measure a gamers emotions. PS4 designer Mark Cerny stated that he an his team pretty much thought of everything when designing the controller. Finally, the company decided against using bio feedback technology in favor of a modified design of the DualShock 3 controller.
