PS4 pre-orders no longer guaranteed for launch in U.K./Europe -- PlayStation Universe

Last week, it was reported that in the United Kingdom and Europe that preorders for Sony’s upcoming system the PlayStation 4 were at an all-time high and that possibly a limit could be placed on the number of preorders if they continued at such an alarming rate. Well now it has been confirmed that PlayStation 4’s are no longer guaranteed to be available when the system is officially released sometime later this year.

I don't know what it's like in the rest of Europe , but here in the UK the Xbox was always much more popular than the PlayStation, there's no strong defining reason ,it just seems to be what everyone is getting so everyone else just wants to get what their friends have, so I don't really think that this is a major issue in the UK, but it might be interesting to see what this is like in countries like Poland where the Xbox One will not be sold at launch.
