Reconnecting the controllers

I was at a friends house yesterday and the controllers (all 4 of them) quit working with the Wii. We had to resync the controllers all individually. My friend said that it happens all the time. It seems to me that would be a royal pain. I guess it makes me happy I never bought one.I never have this problem with my Xbox.

My Wii does the same thing if I don't play it in a hell of a long time. But that just might be the reason right there. Maybe some chip or something in the wii is defective.
