Xbox One Supply at Launch

Does anyone have any info about the availability of consoles at launch? I know this has probably been the biggest set of launches in a while but youd think by now all the companies have learned that they need to really ramp up production leading up to the launch date.

On one hand im hoping to avoid shortages if i dont preorder. On the order hand, I'm tempted to pre-order and sell the system at a profit if there IS indeed a shortage.

There are several threads already up about this. Preorders are done for both currently. Sony says they will have units for walk in customers, as well as Microsoft, but MSFT says the units wont be available until closer to Christmas.
