Below are the achievements for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, along with the number of achievement points you’ll receive and a summary on how to get each achievement.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Achievement List

To Aedirn! (5)
Complete Chapter 1
This is story related and can't be missed. Ensure you complete chapter 1 on any difficulty and the achievement will unlock. You will get this naturally as you progress through the game.

Alea Iacta Est (10)
Complete Chapter 2
This is story related and can't be missed. Ensure you complete chapter 2 on any difficulty and the achievement will unlock. You will get this naturally as you progress through the game.

Once Ain't Enough (15)
Complete Chapter 3
This is story related and can't be missed. Ensure you complete chapter 3 on any difficulty and the achievement will unlock. You will get this naturally as you progress through the game.

Apprentice (10)
Use alchemy to brew five potions or oils
You can do this during the Prologue. Scan the area for herbs and other items by pressing [LS But]. Pick as much as you can so that you have enough to brew five portions on your way to the monastery. Next, press [LB But] and then [R But] to mediate, then select Alchemy. Check out the different portions, and press [Y But] to see how many you are allowed to make. Pick a portion that allows for 5 or more and brew them all at once.

Master Alchemist (10)
Acquire the Mutant ability
First, unlock the Mutant Ability that is available towards the end of the Alchemy Skills Tree. You will need 8 talent points for this, and you cannot earn the achievement if you are playing on Arena mode. If you can successfully complete the ‘From a Bygone Era’ mission on Iorveth’s path, you will get all the following achievements at one go; Swordmaster, Mutant, Master Alchemist and Master of Magic Achievements.

The Butcher of Blaviken (30)
Kill 500 foes
You should get this naturally towards the end of Chapter 2. You can also boost it during “The Blood Curse” mission. Just hang around in the mists and ensure you defeat the Wraiths.

Miser (10)
Collect 10000 orens
There are several ways to do this. First, you can stockpile the items and ensure that you store anything you don’t need in the chests you will find in each chapter. Once you have col. After that, you can go back to your saved game. Another way to unlock this achievement is in the “Path to Vision” mission. Follow Roche’s path until you come across the visionary’s hut where you can collect Harpie ingredients. The Harpies will regenerate every time you get out of the hut and back again.

Focus (30)
Perform three successful ripostes in a row
Start by unlocking the riposte ability from the Swordsman path. After this, when you find yourself in combat, wait until the indicator appears above the head of your opponent. This will be in the form of a sword with lightning around it. When you see it, press either [A But] or [X But] to perform the riposte. The ripostes will be counted even if they don’t result in a kill.

Craftsman (10)
Hire a craftsman to create an item
You can unlock this achievement as early as chapter 1. After reaching Flotsam, go towards the Non-Human District. You will come upon two dwarfs in an alley working at a forge. At this point, you should already be having the recipe for a silver sword. Buy the required ingredients from the dwarf and ask him to forge an item for you.

Pest Control (20)
Finish all quests involving the destruction of monster nests
You are required to complete 4 different quests in order to gain this achievement. The quests are found in the notice boards in chapter 1, 2 and 3. For the Gargoyle Contract in chapter 3, you have to kill the runes in a certain order. Killing all the gargoyles randomly will not be enough.

Torn Asunder! (15)
Kill more than one opponent using a single exploding bomb
Any location that has a large number of enemies is ideal for unlocking this achievement. You can get it early in the Prologue. Following the dragon attack, you will run under burning wooden structures before battling to pairs of enemies. After that, you will come across a larger group of enemies. As your companions keep them busy, toss a bomb into the group.

Gambler (15)
Win an arm wrestling match, a dice poker game and a fist fight
You can easily achieve this at Flotsam Inn, where you will find all three activities. For arm wrestling, move the analog stick slowly to ensure you maintain the reticle within the yellow moving bar. If you are familiar with poker, you will find the rules in dice poker to be simple. As for the fist fight, just follow the onscreen button prompts.

Gladiator (15)
Defeat all opponents in the Kaedweni arena
You can get this in chapter 2 after completing ‘The Butcher of Cidaris’ mission. Go back to the wall surrounding the Arena and talk to Proximo, who will offer you a chance to continue fighting in the Arena. Take this opportunity to defeat all opponents.

Madman (100)
Finish the game while playing at the Dark difficulty level
Prepare well before you go into any battles by drinking your portions and enhancing your blades. Use the magic available to you from time to time, especially the protective sign Quen. Whenever you are leaving a town, or if you think you are going to get into a fight, use it. It will save your life by absorbing enemy damage. Don’t allow yourself to get bogged down by big groups of enemies. Get out of the way by diving, rolling or running. Go for this achievement after achieving the Combat Acumen in the Swordsmanship tree. This will unlock the ability to perform one-hit-kills, which will prove very valuable later in the game.

Journeyman (10)
Achieve character level 10
You will achieve this naturally as you progress through the game.

Guru (50)
Achieve character level 35
This is a long achievement, but there are ways you can make the journey a little quicker. You can start by gaining the Experienced perk, which offers a +10% XP boost. You will get this by destroying 10 different training dummies. You can do this in various locations during the game, but ensure you do it early. The earliest place you can get it is in Foltest’s Camp. There are 5 dummies in the area, and they will re-spawn when destroyed. Get ten of them and earn the perk. Remember that the end game will earn you earn you around 1000XP so keep that in mind. Just make sure you defeat every enemy you come across and do very quest while taking as much as you can until you unlock the achievement.

Master of Magic (10)
Acquire the Sense of Magic ability
To earn this achievement, you are required to unlock the Sense of Magic ability, which is the penultimate ability on the Magic Skill Tree. It requires 7 talents to unlock and cannot be achieved while playing Arena mode.

Mutant! (30)
Enhance abilities using mutagens at least five times
Mutagens are needed to mutate any ability. They can be found throughout the game or bought from merchants. It is better to pick them up rather than buy because they can be quite expensive. Only certain abilities can be mutated, and you have to reach them in the skill tree before you can mutate them.

Last Man Standing (15)
Survive your 30th fight in the Arena
You will get the option to choose the Arena under “Start New Game”. You can choose to play it on Easy difficulty, but you cannot save, so you have to complete it all at once. However, you can die as many times you wish on your way to unlocking the achievement.

Perfectionist (15)
Kill 10 foes in a row without losing any Vitality
Ensure you save constantly to protect your progress in this achievement. You don’t have to earn the achievement in a single encounter so it should not be hard. The easiest place to get it is during the Prologue, before, and after you fire the Ballista. There will be small, manageable groups of enemies coming to attack.

Poker! (30)
Roll five-of-a-kind at dice poker
This achievement seems to be entirely dependent on luck, but there are a few things you can do to improve your chances. First, you should go for the achievement as early as possible. Start with the opponent in Foltest’s camp at the start of the game. The achievement requires you to have a five-of-a-kind at the end of your hand, not after your first roll.

Tried-and-True (10)
Survive your 5th fight in the Arena
You will get the option to choose the Arena under “Start New Game”. You can choose to play it on Easy difficulty, but you cannot save, so you have to complete it all at once. However, you can die as many times you wish on your way to unlocking the achievement.

The Fugitive (5)
Complete the Prologue.
This is story related and can't be missed. The moment you complete the Prologue, the achievement will pop. This should be fairly easy.

Ricochet (10)
Kill a foe by deflecting his own arrow at him
Before going for this achievement, you have to upgrade your Arrow Redirection ability to level 2 in the Training Tree. This will enable you to deflect arrows back to the shooters by holding [RT But]. Many enemies carry bows or crossbows around, but Bandits always have them, so go to the forests around Vergen.

Swordmaster (10)
Acquire the Combat Acumen ability
This achievement requires you to unlock the Combat Acumen ability, found on the Swordsman Skill Tree. It requires 7 talent points to unlock, and cannot be achieved while playing in Arena mode.

To Be Continued… (50)
Finish the game at any difficulty level
You can get this when going for the “Madman” achievement, or you can choose to make it easier by lowering the difficulty level to easy. Ensure you kill all enemies and do all the quests. Save the game after very stage in order to protect your progress.

Threesome (15)
Kill three foes at once by performing a group finisher
You need to upgrade by unlocking Combat Acumen in the Swordsmanship Skill Tree. This will enable you to build a meter. Once the meter is full, you can perform a finishing move by pressing up on the d-pad. If you perform a finisher in the middle of three or more human enemies, a cut-scene will follow showing Geralt executing a flowing three kill attack.

Avenger (30)
Finish the game by killing Letho
You will get this achievement during the sub-mission “Defeat your Opponents: Go find Letho” under the mission “The Assassins of Kings”. Save your game just before you enter the last door. Once you are through the door, you will have the option to kill or spare Letho. Kill him to unlock this achievement.

Backbone (20)
Craft a suit of armor from elements of the kayran's carapace
Once you kill the Kayran in chapter 1, loot its body for the items you will need to craft the suit of armor. One of the items will be a diagram for making the Kayran Skin Armor. After getting the items, go back to Flotsam to collect your reward. Finally, travel to the craftsman Berthold Candeleria in the Nonhuman District of Flotsam and he will craft the armor for you.

Being Witcher George (20)
Kill the dragon
You can get this achievement at the end of chapter 3, during Roche’s path. Once the dragon is impaled on a tree, you will be given the option of killing or sparing it. Kill it to unlock this achievement.

Fat Man (15)
Kill the draug
You can get this achievement at the end of chapter 2. After you break the curse, you will fight a series of undead soldiers, and the final fight will have you facing the Draug. To defeat the Draug, trap him using Yrden. He will try to resist but once he gets stuck, you can easily take him out.

Eagle Eye (10)
Hit Count Etcheverry using the ballista
This is the first achievement you can pick up and you should be careful not to miss it. During the prologue, you will be told to mark Count Etcheverry with a spyglass that you will be given. He will be standing on the left of the tower opposite you. Move the center crosshair over him and press [A But].

Heartbreaker (10)
Seduce Ves
You can get this achievement in Chapter 2, during Roche’s path in the ‘Ave Henselt! side quest. Start by completing ‘The Butcher of Cidaris’ quest in the Arena. As you register wins, Ves will volunteer to be your opponent, and if you defeat her, she will invite you back to her tent in the Blue Stripes’ camp. Go visit her and give the appropriate responses during the conversation. The achievement will pop once you pick the last dialogue option.

Kingmaker (15)
Help Roche rescue Anais from the Kaedweni camp
You will get this achievement during chapter 3, on the main quest line. You will be given the option of meeting Roche or rescuing Triss. Meet with Roche and do the quest for rescuing Anais.
Dragonheart (20)
Spare or save Saskia
You will get the opportunity for this achievement towards the end of the game, after the dragon impales itself on the tree. In case you had chosen Roche’s path, just spare the dragon’s life and walk back to Loc Muine. If you chose Iorveth’s path, it will automatically unlock as you progress through the later stages of the game.

Librarian (30)
Find all additional information about the insane asylum's history
This achievement goes in hand with the ‘Claws of Madness’ side quest. Once you enter the asylum in the forest outside Flotsam, your main objective will be to find Gridley. In the process of doing so, this achievement requires you to find all four hospital files scattered inside the asylum.

Necromancer (50)
Relive all of Auckes's memories in Dethmold's vision
You will get this if you follow Roche’s path, in chapter 2. The first part involves killing some harpies, which should not be hard. For the second part, follow the guy’s every move and watch your step so that you don’t get caught in the snares. The achievement will unlock before the 6th memory section.

Old Friends (30)
Finish the game by sparing Letho
You will get this achievement during the sub-mission “Defeat your Opponents: Go find Letho” under the mission “The Assassins of Kings”. Save your game just before you enter the last door. Once you are through the door, you will have the option to kill or spare Letho. For this achievement, choose to spare Letho and it will unlock.

Sensitive Guy (10)
Save Síle from dying in the unstable portal
At the end of chapter 3, once you run to the top of the tower, you will find Sile trying to teleport away. You will quickly discover that the crystal in the portal is flawed, and you will have the option of letting Sile die, or removing the crystal. Remove the crystal in order to earn this achievement.

Intimidator (15)
Intimidate someone
This achievement requires you to be successful with an Intimidate dialogue action. The Intimidate dialogue options are represented by a symbol of an eye with a lightning bolt through it. You can get this achievement during the Prologue. As you go back into the town after finding the locked gate, you will come across guards harassing the locals. Speak to them and intimidate them.

Man of the Shadows (15)
Successfully sneak through Loredo's garden and find the component of the kayran trap
Start by drinking some Cat potion to ensure that you won’t be seen. From the first area, climb up through the rocks and drop behind the wall near the beginning. Watch out for the guards to scatter and knock them out one by one. Run to the northwest side of the area, where you will find a wall to climb over. Beyond the wall, you will the Iron Frame and other items.

Black Ops (20)
Sneak through the lower camp without raising the alarm
You can only get this if you follow Iorveth’s path in the game. It is easy to obtain since there are multiple checkpoints throughout the game.

Spellbreaker (15)
Help Iorveth find the dagger needed to free Saskia from the spell that holds her
You will only get this on Iorveth’s path, during chapter 3, ‘Spellbreaker’ quest. You will come across Philippa locked up, and you will be forced to choose between saving her and saving Triss. Choose the option of saving Philippa and the achievement will pop at the end of the entire quest.

Reasons of State (15)
Stop Roche from killing Henselt
Towards the end of chapter 2, you will have to fight King Henselt. After the fight, Roche will walk in and lock the door, with the intention of killing the king. You have to convince him not to do it by picking the appropriate dialogue options.

Kayranslayer (10)
Kill the kayran
To get this achievement, get the Kayran to attack you using its tentacles. When it does that, place a Yrden sign on the ground and then dive out of the way. The tentacle will get stuck when it strikes. Yopu can then move in and kill the Kayran using your silver sword. Repeat the process three times, while ensuring you don’t get caught as the Kayran flaps around while you attack it.

Artful Dodger (30)
Cut off a tentacle using the kayran trap
You can get the Kayran trap during chapter 1, ‘Indecent Proposal’ quest. You will find a component called Iron Flame inside a glowing red chest at the back of Leredo’s compound. Once you get it, go to the merchant Cedric and buy the Kayran Trap Diagram. As you fight the Kayran, you will see two big signs glowing on the ground. Press [A But] to place the trap on these signs so that when the tentacle hits the floor, it will cut off immediately without you slashing it.

Tourist (10)
Tour the camp with Zyvik
You can get this in chapter 2, when you enter the camp. Zyvik will be there to show you around the camp, and you will ahev the opportunity to skip the tour. Don’t skip the tour, but instead follow Zyvik throughout the entire tour so as to unlock the achievement.

Friend of Trolls (15)
Spare all trolls in the game
You will come across the first troll in chapter 1, during the ‘Troll Trouble’ quest. Find him by the broken bridge, talk to him but don’t kill him. After this, you can get the achievement through either path you choose. For Iorveth’s path, you will speak with the Troll of Vergen as you try to find Triss Merigold. His wife will be on a mountain in the southern area of Vergen. If you follow Roche’s path, you will encounter the Troll of Vergen and his wife towards the end of chapter 2, during ‘The Siege of Vergen’ quest. Speak to them but don’t kill them and the achievement will unlock.

Trollslayer (30)
Kill all the trolls in the game
You will come across the first troll in chapter 1, during the ‘Troll Trouble’ quest. Find him by the broken bridge and kill him. Leave Síle to die in the unstable portal
At the end of chapter 3, once you run to the top of the tower, you will find Sile trying to teleport away. You will quickly discover that the crystal in the portal is flawed, and you will have the option of letting Sile die, or removing the crystal. Let Sile die in order to earn this achievement.
