You might experience problems with your Kinect sensor. If there is no light on your Kinect sensor, there might be problem with the connection.
Any one of the following error messages might be shown:
The connection problem can be solved by following few easy steps. It can be solved by updating the console software. There might also be problem with the cable connection. If so, then the connection needs to be reset.
Updating console software
To update your console software, you need to insert a Kinect game disc and start the game from the Xbox Dashboard. You might see the following updating message:
Update Required: An update has been found. To apply this update, you must restart your console.
Press Yes and restart your console to update the software.
If you do not see this updating message, you might need to reset your cable connection to solve the sensor problem.
Resetting the cable connection
If your console is Xbox 360 S,You need to do the following:
But if your console is Original Xbox 360, you need to do the following:
If the cable works properly, you will see green light near the middle of the cable. If you do not see the green light, you need to plug the cable into another outlet to ensure that the cable is working properly. If the cable has gone bad, contact Xbox Support (link at the bottom of the page). Then turn on your console.
If you are still having a problem you might need to check the System settings.
To do this, press the Guide button on your controller and go to Settings and then select System Settings. Go to the Kinect Settings to select Kinect Sensor and select On.
After performing all above, if you cannot fix the problem, the sensor might need to be repaired. You can get support from the Xbox Online Service Center.

- Kinect is turned off (8000000F)
- This game requires a Kinect sensor (C000009D)
- The Kinect sensor isn't connected (C000009D)
- The Kinect sensor was unplugged (C000020C)
