The Resident Evil video game series of Capcom is probably the most famous survival-horror game of all time. It has spawned one too many sequels across different platforms. From the original PlayStation to the Xbox360, there seems to be no stopping this video game franchise.

Here's the full list of RE games and their timeline:

- Resident Evil

- Resident Evil: Director's Cut

- Resident Evil 2

- Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

- Resident Evil Survivor and Resident Evil Code: Veronica

- Resident Evil Gaiden and Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica

- Resident Evil (GameCube remake) and Resident Evil Zero

- Resident Evil: Dead Aim and Resident Evil Outbreak

- Resident Evil Outbreak File #2

- Resident Evil 4

- Resident Evil: Deadly Silence

- Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

- Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles

- Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition

- Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D

- Resident Evil: Revelations; Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Resident Evil 6

I'm not a fan of the franchise, but I played Resident Evil 6 and did not like the experience. Even with the brightness on high, the screen was far too dark and the enemies blended in with the background. Ammunition is scarce, and I found myself repeatedly kicking the zombies just to keep them away from me. They were also poorly distributed; I could walk for several minutes without encountering a single enemy, then suddenly find myself impossibly surrounded by a horde of "Left 4 Dead"-esque 'special infected'. There was never a good balance, and I was not impressed by the gameplay, though I can say the graphics, in good lighting, were stunning.
I don't think that Resident Evil 6 is the best that the series could offer. Though it offers the best graphics seen in the series, it's gameplay is somewhat lacking. I think Resident Evil 4 still is the best. It offered a lot of thrills, and was really well balanced. I rarely ran out of ammo too. Part 4 was the perfect Resident Evil game in my opinion.
