Xbox 360 Wired Controllers

Is anyone here still using wired controllers? We are in desperate need of new controllers, but we don't really have the money to buy a couple of wireless controllers. Do the wired ones work just as well? How long are the wires?

Wired controllers? What are those? Just kidding! Nope, we don't use them at all. You may be able to get some wireless ones used at a retailer like Gamestop for a discounted rate. The wires on the wired controllers are 9 ft./3m long. They drive me nuts, but then again, so does having to replace my battery in the middle of a multiplayer match!

We're not using wired controllers; I can't stand wires!! I'd rather pay double price for a wireless controller than save half my money but have to use a wired controller. I can see where you might find yourself in a position where you have no other choice, though. If one tears up and you don't have $50 for a new one, it's wired or nothing - and that's the ONLY case in which I would buy a wired controller!
