AND with a boost to the CPU!! And not a small one either. Confirmed by Albert Pinello as well on Twitter. Full steam ahead ladies and gentlemen. Bring me November!!!

About one month after improving the GPU clock speed, Mehdi added that Microsoft just made another technical boost by upgrading the CPU performance to 1.75 GHZ from 1.6 GHZ.

Mehdi wouldn’t reveal a launch date — the PlayStation 4 comes out Nov. 15 — but did say that the system is “really going to shine.”
“This will be the biggest launch we’ve ever done by a wide margin in terms of units shipped at launch,” Mehdi said.

Xbox One is Now in 'Full Production' With an Improved CPU

Booya! I think this is great news for the obvious reasons. I also assume that the reason no release date has been announce is because of this being planned out behind the scenes. I accept with this announcement that we will get a release date real soon! Good to know they are pushing as many units out as possible, but I hope they don't red-line production too much, don't want faulty units.

I feel like there isn't a tangible difference between 1.6 and 1.75 gigahertz (at least, to someone like me who can't be bothered by machine minutiae). Still, it's an improvement nonetheless.

I hope they are taking their time with these consoles, we wouldn't want to see rushed production result in wonky hardware.

So, that's why there is delay in the final release date. I am not sure if it's a wise move on their part. Sony has really sprinted ahead in this race for the time being. I hope Microsoft catches up eventually.

After the news today..there is no way ther eis a delay lol

I posted a new thread but its not up yet. Release date is Nov. 22nd. Confirmed.

I actually went ahead and popsted it alreayd in the Xbox one release date thread this morning. BUT GOOD NEWS OF COURSE!

But, will the games run better or something? Less slowdowns? What type of thing could really benefit out of this by being the default CPU performance?

Im guessing its more of a future proof thing, ya know? May come in handy down the road to buff up some games or something.
