Xbox One adress the sess: load screens and next gen gaming

this guy/company has been my favorite place to get equal opportunity info on both systems and how he sees the console market...

this weeks discussion touched on a topic that we have all wanted.... load screens

When he talks about the negative impact of dying in a game it makes me think of my current obsession, Dark Souls. You die, every enemy is respawned, the paths (elevators specifically) don't reset. There are some miniboss/boss creatures that do not respawn but all in all when you die in Dark Souls its a heck of a death. That's also the fun of the game; it becomes a puzzle, enemies remain dangerous far into the game if you're not careful, its a brilliant dance.

I agree though, we all could do without load screens!

i say farewell.... the only load screen i want is on big world/multiplayer to load/get everyone staged for the 5-10minute match.. past that load screens are pointless and a waste of time.
