I don't think in recent years there's ever been a console release without a few issues or bugs. Sometimes it's simply user error and sometimes the company may have dropped the ball on certain things.

What do you think will be the biggest issue with the One during launch week? I think it will either be connectivity issues or transfer problems. There still seems to be some questions in regards to what exactly will and will not transfer over from your 360. And I would assume connecting with your friends right off the bat could be a struggle if Live is bugging out.

Or I could be totally wrong (it's been known to happen frequently) and everything will be sunshine and unicorns!

The servers ain't good enough for everyone / servers ain't ready because they managed to ruin something with them. When it comes to network problems, they always appear when they are the most needed, but that is a given, no way that everything would just run smoothly on the first day of the service.

I think worst case scenario would be the servers crashing and so not being able to download the update and/or use your new console. Can you imagine if you don't buy a disc game so you're just waiting to digitally download?! I think I would need to go yell at some one lol.

That would be.....stress inducing. Not like "my job gives me stress" or "my in laws are stressing me out". More along the lines of ".....And that's when I found my meat cleaver and ran amock among the crowd. I didn't realize it was senior citizen day at the mall, officer" lol

I think it will be alot of "oh crap..what did I just do. How do I undo it"? With server issuesI just hope in this day and age and with the pre-sale numbers MS is WELL prepared.

Remind me to avoid any long lines around you...

same general issues cod and them had 1st day.. will be netowrking/slow connections everyone that plugs in and does the startup pulling gamertag setting up netflix/prime/hulu. the sad part it wont necessarly be microsoft issue i feel it will be game issue but will fall back on the network/umbrella of microsoft.
i sy the last part because if forza5 is slow or cod ghost is glitching or having trouble with ai or whatever it be.. the finger wont be ohh cod/forza5 is having an issue it will be microsoft cloud is crap or my connection is slow i thought i could start download and play when you only have 1% downloaded.

It will be interesting to see if Xbox Live holds up to a ton of people all trying to get on at the same time, say around that first Friday evening. :) It will be interesting to see how the "cloud" holds up. Make sure to have a single player game lined up, just in case.

I don't see why there would be any issue. There are already a ton of x1's out there beta testing the network. Microsoft is one of two companies in the entire world I trust to not have capacity issues at launch.

Sony on the other hand... I don't think they have ever launched a network with the width and breadth of the one they will be launching for PS4. They seem to have issues keeping PSN up as it is...

Yup, I attend on having Watchdogs and Dead Rising ready for such an emergency. Otherwise I will also have Battlefield and Call of Duty ready.

I think a big stress inducer will be figuring everything out. There are tons of hidden features and tidbits that many aren't going to know how to work. The biggest though is the servers as you guys said already. Another inducer could be adjusting to new controllers or system specifics.

The XB1 cloud might work just fine... but launch days create a load unlike any other day. I've seen all kinds of launches like this and many have issues. Sure, they're beta testing, but their not testing anything close to the number of consoles that are going to be all hitting the service and wanting to play COD, BF4, and other games all at the same time come Friday night.

I say that NOW for general things in life lol! I bet the manual is going o be the size of an LA phone book. I just hope they have a "For Dummies" book before release!

Again... x1 launch day will have less traffic than patch Tuesday which happens every month, and serves up downloads to several hundred million computers, with most people forgetting that patch Tuesday is a thing. If anyone has the capacity, and know how, it is Microsoft.

Indeed! I an see MAYBE some slow time a little, but they know their services including LIVE like the back of their hand.
