Xbox One Controller/Headphone Volume

I have a Xbox One X and use a wireless controller. When I plug in my headphones the audio volume is really low. Hard to hear
But if I plug the headphones into my wired controller, The volume is fine. Works great.

Any idea why the wireless controller is so much lower in volume?
