Favourite Playstation One Game?

Hmm I would say it's between Metal Gear Solid (which I have beat a total of 15 times on the PSX, I couldn't afford too many games growing up, but that game was worth the replays.) and Final Fantasy 7

I couldn't afford many games either growing up so I usually played the same two or three I had that in a given year over and over and hoped someone wanted to trade.

There were a lot of PS1 games that to me, felt definitive of the console itself. My absolute favorite is still Xenogears. It hasn't aged well, but the story blew me away and I still think of it fondly. It will likely never be remade, but I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was. I loved that game.
