Xbox 360 Have people laughed at you for using Kinect?

Believe it or not, I have. It wasn't an actual malicious insult of course, it was by my group of friends, and we always do that stuff. They argued that it was for kids and not "hardcore". I thought that was a pretty silly notion. A lot of the games themselves are marketed towards kids since it's similar to the Wii, but what's wrong with playing a sports game or something with it?

All the time, but I can always get back at them later when watching them play
Sometimes the sports games are the most entertaining to watch people play. Seeing them playing (or trying to play) in an empty room; its pretty funny.

Yeah, my friends told me it was made for kids. haha.
I just ignore them, everyone has a little kid sense of humor in them.

Nah, I haven't gotten that at all. I do understand it, though. I myself tend to think that it's often 'childlike' and it's definitely on the more casual side. I don't find anything wrong with that, though.

My girlfriend wanted me to play that dancing game with her. I finally did and it was so embarrassing. I am NOT a dancer. Then her little brother came in and just started dancing his butt off. He looked like an idiot, but he was getting awesome scores and having fun. I wish I was like that, to where I didn't care what I looked like haha.

All the time . That's because I really get into the games. I've got both the Just Dance 3 and Kinect Adventures, and whenever I play them, I end up jumping around and looking like a giant fool. I especially love playing the Just Dance game mulitplayer. One time, me and three of my friends attempted to play one of the dances four player and we all ended up fall over one another and didn't even finish the dance because we all ended up on the floor laughing at one another.

No, but I can see where they are coming from in a way. It's quite a silly way to look at it because if it's fun then it's worth playing - I dont see why the Kinect should have an age restriction on it!

No, that's just immature. Even though the Kinect isn't looked upon, it is still a decent console and shouldn't be laughed at. It's just like the Wii.

Bah who cares if they laugh. Enjoy yourself and life. Now if I saw a male friend of mine playing Barbie the video game with his little sister, I'd definitely laugh at that. Come on now, if you end up doing that. Then your bargaining skills are level 1 to say the least.

Me and my friends tried it out at a retail store and we laughed our asses off, but it was all fun and games, so it's cool.
