Xbox 360 Who else is running out of their space on their HD?

I am. I have a 2009 standard 60 GB one. It served me well over the years but it's finally starting to fill up. The biggest culprit here is Battlefield 3. That game takes up 20 gb with mandatory updates, unbelievable. Even worse, they make everyone download the DLC first (hence the 20 gb) and then pay to unlock it on their console. What fills up your HD, and how do you cope with it?

I have a 60GB one and really I'm not surprised it gets used up quickly. I mean, I don't think 60GB is that much. I have to delete a few demo's and old save data now and then if I have to make room for something new. I guess you could buy an external HD or perhaps just use a bigger one as standard. There's not really any other way around. What fills up both my consoles is game save data. I hope that on next gen consoles there's more capacity...

I actually have one hard drive for my arcade games and the other for saved games and memory on.

I've got the 120 one and I think I'm down to about 30-40ish left. DLC takes up alot of memory (I'm looking at you Battlefield 3...with your like 4 3gb updates for each 2gb dlc) I don't have much in the terms for demos and arcade/indie games but ya, I used to have the 20gb original for like 3 years...let's not talk about that haha

I still have a decent amount of space.
I don't have many games for xbox, but I do have bf3 which takes a chunk of space.

Yeah, i have to keep deleting stuff, even if i don't want to, because otherwise i wouldn't have space for new things. It's really bad that nowadays, 60GB is nothing and each game takes so much space, i will have to upgrade soon.

I actually bought a used 250 GB hard drive off of Craigslist for pretty cheap and it was a pretty sound investment. Games that I play often I save onto the HD to avoid the console over heating.

Yeah, I have a 60gb one too. It sucks, really. My connection is terribly slow, so I don't delete any of the DLCs or XBLA games I have unless necessary. But I also like to install my games to the HDD to reduce pop-in and improve loading times...

While we're at it, I also wish my Vita had more than just a 4gb memory card. Videogames increase in filesize but storage is still as limited and lame as always on consoles/handhelds!

EDIT: Accidental double post due to crappy internet connection! Please remove! Sorry......

I have a 60gb and a 120gb. None of them are even close to being filled yet. The mandatory updates are a real pain and most of the time I don't think it is really even needed. Plus, paying to unlock is just another way for MS to get more money.

I always thought that it was weird that people would run out of room on their hard drives, but then I've never downloaded anything bigger than a couple of GBs at a time. I know a lot of people buy and install arcade games, but I've never done that. I do play a lot of demos, but even with all of my data and a bit of music, I'm nowhere near reaching maximum capacity.

I am completely out of room on my HDD. I find myself typically having to move stuff around and delete DLC just to make it by. My problem is when I download a game, even if I only play it once, I can't bring myself to delete it. For me it's hard enough having to delete DLC. The way I see it, if the day should come where I want to play the game again I won't have to redownload anything.

Totally. Pretty much every time I want to do anything I have to go in and manage space. I'm hoping things can be stores more in the cloud in the future and cut down on this type of problem. I always feel like hard drive space should almost be free, it's like I'm paying them for the right to buy things from them, does that make sense?

I'm running out right now. I really hate deleting game saves. I just found out about the usb port so I tried using a memory stick to help alleviate my space problems. It didn't quite work out though.

How did so many people manage to use up so much space? I had a 120 GB hard drive and never came even close to using it, even with a few games and movies saved on it. I guess considering I only used my Xbox for gaming it was a lot harder for me to full up than if I used it for more plus I had a 120 GB hard drive no 60 GB.

I have one of the original 20 gigs. Heh. You better believe that thing is filled to the max. I actually just delete and re-download most of my arcade games and DLC depending on what I'm playing, etc. I'm actually about to trade my Xbox in to get one of the newer slim models. Probably gonna shoot for 250, because I definitely know how to fill a hard drive..
