As you can see, the Xbox isn't supposed to do that. This issue is really difficult because it's my sister who is having them, and she is across the country communicating over text message so it's a long turn around time for any solutions. Tried blowing out the ports, and also connecting a laptop using the same HDMI / HDMI port and it worked fine so the problem might be with the Xbox, but I don't know what would have caused it. It was used a couple of months ago and worked fine, but could have being jostled in the move have caused it? The Wii is having some problems too, so I'm really at a loss here.
