Xbox One Controller (wireless) won't sync to xbox after trying to Bluetooth it to the phone unsuccessfully

As the title says I'm devastated cos 1 controller I just bought as a spare stopped working after plugging it into my pc with batteries in?? Won't sync to xbox

NOW... been trying to sync the spare one up with my android fone via Bluetooth to see if I could play a game and it synced but no response, so.. Turned everything off for hours and go to play on xbox and controller wont sync and just flashes like the other one...
Can someone help please? Spent £80 on controllers n both are buggerethanks

Hold your Xbox power button for 10 seconds and let go and see if it works after that.
